In another reaction on the Social Truth platform, Trump claims Tehran “decided to open fire yesterday”, citing this as a direct violation of the agreement between the parties.
According to him, the shots were directed at a French ship and a merchant ship from the United Kingdom. “It wasn't nice, was it?”, writes Trump, irony the situation.
The head of the White House also describes as the strange “Iran's” decision to close the strait, while claiming that the American blockade had already made maritime passage impossible. He adds that Iran is losing up to $500m a day from this situation, while according to him, the United States suffers no damage.
On the other hand, Iranian authorities have dismissed the accusations, claiming they are the United States itself who have violated the terms of ceasefire through the deployment of a maritime blockade to Iranian ports. / T CH
