Trump used the meeting at the White House to praise Green, who supervised the institution over the past year. Addressing reports that Green was fired from the role.
“Pat a story that he was fired. He was not fired,” said Trump, describing Green's stance as a temporary task aimed at helping stabilise the organisation during the transition. Trump added that he was already looking for another task for Green. “I'm looking for your next venture,” said the president on a date.
