(4 months ago)Kosovo police are continuing their search for Alush Vesel Kastatin, 80-year-old, who has been reported missing from 07.03.2026 in the village of Zatriq, of Rahovec. According to the Regional Police Directorate in Gjakova, the operation is including intensive patrols in surrounding areas, such as mountainous terrain and other areas around the village.
The search has reportedly engaged Kosovo Police patrol units, the Fast Reaction Unit, the unit with a fear of air monitoring, the CNS unit with research dogs, and the KSF's Research Unit. As the ground becomes known that firemen are also offering assistance, the Kosovo Association for Research and Rescue, as well as volunteer citizens.
The head of the Rahovec municipality has also reportedly offered support in co-ordinating local institutions and the community to help find the missing person.
Kosovo police thank all institutions, professional teams and volunteer citizens who are contributing to this operation and appeal to citizens for co-operation and information that can help find Alush Kastrati.
