Rama for the Zvrinec project: Not finalised, but to make Albania and Europe proud

Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted from Brussels regarding the planned project in Zvrinec, declaring the process has not yet been completed and that every step is being followed according to the rules.

Rama dismissed concerns about environmental impact and stressed that the final decision would be based on European standards.

He said the goal is for the project to be a value for Albania and Europe.

I've learned from my long years in office since Brussels, there are many organisms. For us, all voices in Brussels are respectable, but there is a word that we take very seriously, which is the voice of the Commission. The commission is at the top of everything, being very well informed. The reason I always say, in this world information or chaotic systems, controversial views, where the truth finds less and less space, false truths find space, the Commission remains the one who holds firm objective.

The Commission works based on data, in fact, on verified sources. I'm sure that if you were interested in verified sources, you'd understand there's nothing to worry about. The project is nowhere, it can't be seen anywhere because it's not finalised. The impact of the environmental decision is under way.

Everything's been done by the rules since day one. Name mention is not something that helps us to get to the truth. There's only one book of rules that applies to us, the book of rules on the standard of membership. The idea that Albania would move forward with something that would not be in full accordance with Albania's holy book of believers and atheists, which are standards of EU principles, is groundless.

We will make a project that will be proud of Albania and Europe. Albania must make it a reality for itself and Europe. In the process we will be as we were, too rigorous to ask for anything but the highest standards. We'll just ask for something that will make everyone proud”, Rama said. /Top Channel
