The Central Market Oversight Inspector to the Ministry of Industry, Trade, Trade and Innovation has announced publicly that, within the framework of continued monitoring of the oil derivatives market, it is implementing intensive supervision in the implementation of the decision on temporary price regulation and the appointment of other safeguard clauses signed by Minister Mimoza Kusari-Lila, with the aim of protecting consumers, increasing transparency, protecting fair competition, and avoiding trade disorders.

Also, the Kosovo Tax Administration's Central Market Oversight Inspectorate is conducting data analysis concerning import prices and prices exposed to consumers on the local market.

According to official data provided by the Kosovo Customs evidence, the average import price for oil derivatives during the maturing day: 10,03.2026, has been like the following:

• Oil (Dizel): 1.45-liter;

• Benzine: $1.17/ly;

Meanwhile, based on the monitoring performed on the local market today, prices exposed to consumers at retail points result as follows:

• Oil (Dizel): from $1.44/liter to 1.54 $/ly;

• Benziina: from $1.18 to $1.31;

Based on the decision of the date 04.03.26 for the provisional adjustment of prices and the appointment of other safeguard clauses, the maximum trade margin allowed as follows is set:

2 eurocents per litre of product sold in abundance, and

12 eurocents per litre of retail product.

Trade margins means the difference between the sale price and the supply price.

The Central Inspectorate of Market Oversight will continue to monitor and inspect developments in the oil derivative market together with Kosovo Customs, the Kosovo Tax Administration, as well as the Kosovo Competition Authority and, in all cases where the eventual irregularities are identified, lack of respect for the decision of the margin or practices that could harm competition and consumers will take rigorous measures ahead of the legislation in power.
