“Right. Justice. Action.” This is the topic of International Women's Day this year. Worldwide, women and girls are seeking their rights, justice and solidarity, equal opportunities.
International Women's Day reminds us that equality calls for action. In Kosovo we are empowering women through employment, economic support, increasing their participation in decision-making and fighting gender-based violence. Over 12,000 women based on employment, increasing ownership of women, and stronger protection mechanisms are concrete steps towards equality in our country so that women's rights do not remain solely in laws and statements, but are guaranteed by real justice, in the daily collective life, in each individual experience.
Equality is not just a promise. And this commitment continues.
Happy International Women's Day, equality is a common job and responsibility.
