US returns two merchant ships after restoring the naval blockade to Iran

The U.S. Army has turned back two commercial ships that were trying to enter or leave Iranian ports, after restoring the naval blockade to Iran.
According to a US Central Command post on social networks, the two ships were sent back after attempting to cross the blockade, which was reinstated last evening, reports Sky News, Periscope broadcast.
The US “Army remains vigilant and prepared to ensure full implementation of measures in force”, CENTCOM's brief statement said.
The previous naval blockade was in force for just over two months. It took effect on April 13th and was removed on June 18th, as part of the memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran.
