A leadership council of three was formed to govern the country on a temporary basis soon after the death of the Supreme Leader, the Telegrafis, broadcast Periscopi.
He included:
Masoud Peschkian, Iran's reformist president
Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei, head of hardline judiciary
Alireza Arafi, Juris and Basij, a volunteer paramilitary force
The Supreme Leader is elected by “the expert collection”, a body of 88 Islamic scholars selected all for their loyalty to the regime.
Seid Ahmad Alam Alhoda told Iranian state media that the supreme leader has been elected and the expert assembly will make an announcement. /Periscopi/
