Hasan seeks Gavrilo Milosavlevic's sentence: It was among the Guardians who killed the prisoners in Dubrava.

In this case, Gavrilo Milosavlevuc was accused of war crimes against the civilian population in the Dubrava prison. The Constitutional Court in Pristina on 16 June 2025 has declared a free trial against him, reports “The Justice Vow”, broadcast Periscope.

Hasan, the survivor of the Dubrava massacre, said Milosavlevic has been among the guards who have killed and tortured prisoners in the Dubrava prison, so he must be sentenced.

For me it's unacceptable, he was among the 187 guards in the Dubrava prison, where 118 prisoners were killed, 400 were injured and the tortures that were inflicted on prisoners, where the main part of the bombings were in masks and we didn't know them all in masks. So, each one of those who has been there, for me, is a murderer, torturer, bully, and I demand that he be punished”, Hasani said.

Otherwise, the Court has filed a complaint against the Foundation's decision. Meanwhile, the defendant's defense answered in complaint.

According to the indictment filed on November 29, 2023, it is said that Gavrilo Milosavlevq, in quality of the official in the Dubrava Prison, in co-ordination with other persons, had applied depressing murder measures, beating, torture, cruel and inhuman treatment of Albanian civil prisoners.

All in accordance with the indictment, in co-ordination with Serbian police units, Milosavlevki had carried out the mass murder of Albanian prisoners, on the grounds that it would count prisoners and send them to a safer location to protect prisoners from NATO bombings.

In addition, the indictment reportedly shortly after the prisoner's formation, Serbian military officers had fired prisoners with machine guns, mortars and other weapons, and that this murder operation, which had begun from May 22nd 1999 and lasted until May 24, 1999, with 109 prisoners killed as a result of these attacks.

In the indictment, defendants Milosavlevovic reportedly had gone almost every day to Dubrava Prison wards, namely, to the “B” and <2>C”, beating the Albanian civil prisoners in a cruel and inhuman way.

The indictment mentions how some guards had even gone to the cell where Urksin Hoti, Gani Baliu, Skender Gashi, Mehmet Memqaj, and Shkelim Zlatoga, where the same were first turned off lights and then directed to the Ukhshin “Professor of your fight is happening to us the NATO bombings”, insulting and insulting him all the time, that at one point it is said the guards had captured Shkelqim Zlatoga's throat, where they had almost stopped breathing.

The accused Milosavlevic was accused of committing the criminal act “war against civilian population”, sanctioned with Article 142 concerning Article 22 of the Criminal Law of the former Socialist Republic of Yugoslavia (now”) RSFJ's LP “) as the law in effect at the time of the criminal offence.
