Reaction to plane crash, KFOR trains near Bondsteel

The soldiers of the Regional Command-led Command (Regenal Command-East East RC-E), within the framework of the NATO-led mission KFOR, have conducted a response exercise on a simulated plane crash scenario near Camp Bondstellel.
According to KFOR's announcement, the goal of the exercise was to strengthen multinational co-ordination in the medical field, as well as increase capacity for rapid response throughout the operating area.
Air crews, medical flight personnel and participants with different roles participated in the exercise, which tested procedures for training, treatment and evacuation of the injured in case of an emergency.
KFOR stressed that the exercise contributes to improving interoperability between mission units and helps maintain staff readiness to respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations.
According to the mission, such exercises are part of KFOR's continued commitment to ensure a high level of operational preparation and co-ordination among multinational forces in Kosovo.
