The FBI described the incident in a statement as “insulated”. “The FBI restricted access to the malicious actor and repaired the network. The investigation continues, so at this moment we have no further comments”, the statement said.
Although the source says the attack was the act of a cyber criminal rather than a foreign government, the incident highlights the potential value of Epstein's intelligence files.
