The “Police are in continued contact with the embassy and are not reported to hurt”, said in an official statement by Norwegian authorities, the TCh reports, broadcast. Periscope.
Asked whether the blast has anything to do with any possible attack, Oslo's regional police station explained that there was currently no “any information about exactly what happened or who might be involved”.
Local media report that the embassy suffered minor damage, while American diplomatic mission employees have not commented.
In another police response for Norwegian public television “NRK” said the explosion occurred at the building's public entrance. The U.S. Embassy is located in Oslo's Morgedasvegen district, about 7 km 4 miles outside the city. /Periscope/
