Dardan Vunqi elected deputy chairman of Kosovo Prosecutorial Council

Dardan Vuniqi has been elected deputy chairman of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council through open voting, where he has received 6 votes from KP members. Prior to the election, Vunqi has introduced his platform and goals, stressing that his commitment is based on increased public confidence in the prosecutorial system and exercising competencies in accordance with the law. He has promised oversight of the prosecutor's work, transparency-based independences, accountability and legal standards, as well as strengthening of three-month reporting mechanisms by the chief prosecutor, reports “Battle for Justice”, broadcast Periscope.
Special attention will be given to publishing periodic reports on the work of prosecutors, drafting tests for increasing performance of the system and recruiting of staff and prosecutors according to regulations changes.
Vuniqi has also stressed the importance of adequate human resources planning and inter-institutional co-operation with local and international partners for an efficient and transparent functioning of the prosecutorial system. /Periscope/
