On the Dabbat Plus TV show Dukagjini, Citaku said the PDK has not requested any agreement “blanco” with Vetevendosje, but a principled agreement to get out of the cycle of political crises.
Mr. Kurti made a deliberate misinterpretation of the case. The PDK has not requested a blanko deal. We wanted a principle agreement. We have not gone to the table for shopping, not for resentment or for personal egos. We went to the table to offer a solution and to get out of this endless cycle of crises, in which we have now entered for nearly two years. Mayor Hamza told Kurt that we are willing to propose a candidate, but we have not discussed party names exclusively,” she said.
Citaku added that it would be unfair to talk about specific names in public without having the PDK's preliminary agreement on candidacy.
This would be the first step. Then we would sit down to discuss the criteria, qualities and specifics of the candidates in question. The current situation has come because of a lack of political will by the majority,” it concluded.
