On March 4th 1981, Kosovo students staged a protest in Pristina for better conditions at their union, and this protest was the spark of demonstration organised by students on March 11, 1981.
As a result of the student demonstrations came gatherings known as “The workers' demonstrates”, which required the release of imprisoned students.
