Thaci continues detention in case against justice administration

In the case where Hashim Thaci, along with the Smajan Union, Fadil Falziun, Isni Kiljan and Hajredin Kucin are accused of criminal acts against administration of justice, Thaci has continued custody.

The decision was taken on February 3rd 2026 by the only judge in this case, Christoph Gosnell, reports the “Justice Trust “.

In that decision, it has been found that there is real danger that in case it is released, it could prevent the progress of the process and perform other criminal acts.

Otherwise, the beginning of the trial against Hashim Thaci, the Smkaj Union, Isni Kilajt, Fadil Fazlius and Hajredin Kuci for criminal acts against justice administration is scheduled for February 27th 2026.

Hashim Thaci has been at The Hague's Prosecution Centre since November 2020. He is being tried for war crimes, as well as last year, has been subjected to charges against justice administration./Periscopi/
