Iran, Oman hold talks on Hormuz Strait

“During these meetings, the two sides exchanged views on common principles and operational mechanisms for managing safe shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, respecting the sovereign rights of both coastal states”, Esmaeil Baghaei said.

He said the talks were constructive and that progress has been achieved, CNN writes.

He added there has been no change in maritime traffic status through the Strait of Hormuz, suggesting that the Oman delegation has left, while technical and political consultations between the two sides are continuing.
