Joshua after his victory over Prenga: I planned the knockout, but he surprised me.

Anthony Joshua has declared that from the very beginning he had planned to defeat Christian Prenga with knockout, though the Albanian boxer put her in great trouble during the first round.
The prenga twice knocked down the former world champion, but Joshua managed to recover, and in the second round secured victory by knockout after a series of powerful shocks.
After Macchi, the British praised Prenga's appearance, describing him as a strong and dangerous opponent.
The presumption was good and strong. He wanted to knockout me”, Joshua told DAZN.
Asked what he thought after falling just seconds after the start of the confrontation, Joshua said he tried to remain calm and wait for the right moment to react.
I was planning to knockout, but I wanted to do it when the time was right. For a moment, his time came before mine and I thought: This wasn't part of the script. I had to stay strong and patient. My moment came in the second round”, he said.
Joshua added that despite the difficult situation he found himself in, he did not think that the confrontation would end differently.
I didn't think it could end differently. I knew it would be difficult, but in the end, I managed to make it”, the British said.
The both boxers' profits have not been officially confirmed. However, reporting ahead predicted that Joshua would earn about four million pounds, while Prenga was approximately one million pounds.
After the victory, Joshua is expected to face former world champion in heavy weights, Tyson Fury, in one of Britain's most popular boxing duels. The confrontation has been warned of the latter part of 2026.
