Terror in Dubai, missile blasts in Palm Jumeirah, United Arab Emirates in full alert

Dubai is on high alert following reports of explosions in the sky and possible air surveillance near the area of Palm Jumeirah.

According to media and local evidence, the first incidents were recorded about 20 minutes ago, while several strong explosions were heard in the area.

According to Protothema.gr reports, eyewitnesses have heard at least four to five explosions within a period of about 15 minutes, which they believe can indicate the activism of air defence systems, reports the TCH, broadcast Periscopi.

A witness in the area claimed to have seen a possible wiretap near the compound F IVE Palm Jumeirah. We saw something in the sky a while ago. It looked like it happened on Palm Jumeirah, specifically at the Palm Five. In the last 15-20 minutes, at least four to five blasts were heard, he said.

A video published by Protothema.gr shows flames and explosions in the sky, allegedly linked to the intervention of air defense systems. So far there is no official statement by the United Arab Emirates authorities regarding the incident.

Palm Jumeirah is considered one of Dubai's most eileonic projects. The palm - shaped artificial island, built of sand and stone, is one of the world's most popular tourist and residential destinations, with dozens of luxury hotels, residences and tourist attractions.
