At least 20 Palestinians, including several children and a medical assistant, have been killed and nearly 40 others have been injured in Israeli attacks in Gaza, hospitals say.
The Israeli Army said tanks and planes carried out “precise attacks” against what it called “terrorists who opened fire on troops north of Belp, seriously injuring an officer, reports the BBC.
The military added that the attack occurred near the Yellow Line, beyond which Israeli forces are stationed in Gaza, and that it represents a three-month ceasefire agreement with Hamas.
Hamas accused Israel of using the shooting as “a poor pretext to justify continuing murders and aggression against our people”. /Periscopi/
