Haradinaj: If 30 deputies propose to me for president, I won't be denied responsibility

The leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, has declared that it is currently not part of any process for running for president of the country and that no initiative has been launched for collecting signatures in its favour. Haradinaj said he has tried to establish a common opposition stance with Bedri Hamza [...]
Haradinaj said he has tried to establish a common opposition stance with Bedri Hamza and Lumir Abdjiku, but without success
I'm not in such a process. I'm not a candidate for president. If a group of deputies 30 and then more appreciate that I am the right candidate. I appreciate it. I'm not out of responsibility. But I'm not a candidate and we don't have a signature collection process. I met them, I wrote them several times. I've tried with Chairman Hamza and Abdixhik to create a common position as opposition. For the whole process of institution creation. Even before the election of government. Have a mutual attitude. We failed to take such an attitude”, Haradinaj said.
The mandate of the current president, Vjosa Osmani, expires on April 4th, while the deadline for the election of the new president is 4 March.
Under the Constitution, in the first two rounds for electing the president, 80 votes from 120 MPs are required as long as Kosovo's Assembly does. Any candidacy must be supported by at least 30 parliamentary signatures. If in the first two rounds, 80 votes are not secured, 61 votes are enough in the third round.
If the president is not elected within the constitutional deadline, the country would face new parliamentary elections within 45 days. /Periscope
