Bus accident, 20 students, and an adult in Uganda die

Twenty students have died after the bus on which they were traveling was hit on their return from an educational walk in the wild to the eastern part of Uganda, the authorities of the African State said.
Uganda suspended school trips Friday after the accident, in which another adult died Thursday evening, television reports “Al Jazeera”.
Three other adults and more than ten students suffered injuries, officials said.
The school bus “King David” was returning to the capital Kampala after a trip to Sidi Falls when the accident occurred, Uganda police said on the X network.
According to preliminary investigations, the driver lost control of the bus, and the vehicle fell off the road and rolled after hitting a large stone, police later said.
Local Government Minister Balaam Barugahara Atienyi said on the X network that over 28 children were being treated in hospitals and nine of them were in critical condition.
Officials have not yet published the names and age of children who have lost their lives. The adult who died is believed to be the founder and principal of the school.
