According to police, within these activities, the capital's Traffic Unit is implementing the pronunciation of fines based on monitoring security cameras, as well as during the implementation of regular field tasks.

From January 13 to 19, 2026, this unit has imposed a total of 1,369 fines for various offenses, including the use of mobile phone while driving. The violations are recorded through security cameras and direct communication checks.

Kosovo police have appealed to all drivers to avoid using the telephone during driving and to respect road traffic regulations with the aim of preventing accidents and preserving citizens' lives.
