The Supreme Court's decision, with which administrative instruction tasked pensioners to appear every six months in the Pension Department to prove they are alive, has come into force from today. This ruling does not include basic pensioners and early retirements, who continue to owe their presentation every six months.
In the Pensions Department, during the afternoons, it has been announced that the implementation of the Supreme Court's decision has been enacted, which has abolished parts of administrative instruction forcing pensioners to appear every six months to testify that they are alive.
Enver Sopi, a contributed pensioner, was going down the stairs to the offices of the Pension Department. Speaking to Radio Kosovo, before the decision went into effect, he confirmed they were being forced to testify every six months that they are alive.
On the board, at the desk, it says they should be notified every six months. The decision is still not being implemented. These guys call the people, they don't even notice the”, he said.
In line to prove that she is alive was also waiting for the contributing pensioner in education, Sevdije Hasani. She said this way is torture for them.
This is a very bad gesture, because some may come and some cannot, are disabled, paralyzed, and forced to report. If I die, automatism also becomes a warning. That's why he's being tortured by pensioners. Once it was approved, now it was approved, so there are a lot of people here. Very bad”, Sevdije Hasani said.
That the Supreme Court's decision is still not finding a confirmed implementation for Radio Kosovo, even Secretary of the Pensioners' League Sheriff Kastrati. He says he hopes the respective institutions will make changes for even basic pensioners.
“are assigned two categories to report for retirement: basic pension and early retirement, since the Court has no right to abolish laws, but only administrative instruction. This has been possible only through the ministry, since only it is competent to do so”, Kastrati said.
From today, the grant of presentation no longer applies to pension beneficiaries, financial pensions, and family pensions. So says an electronic response to Radio Kosovo from the Ministry of Finance. Meanwhile, other categories of pensions not included in this group continue to have a duty to submit, in line with legislation in force.
In the Ministry of Finance's response, the ministry is stressed that the ministry will review the administrative directive to address the necessary changes and harmonise it with the Supreme Court's bias.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court, in an electronic response, has stressed that the verdict has been handed over to parties in the procedure and has been published in the Official Journal of the Republic of Kosovo. /Periscope.
