According to the announcement, exemptions from blockades make only food products and sensitive goods, while protests are related to transport concerns for implementing the European Access-Dalje System (EES) in the Schengen Zone. The protest is expected to last at least seven days.
The embassy suggests private vehicle traffic is developing normally, while several Kosovo companies' carriers have been affected by the impasse.
“We are in continuous communication with relevant authorities to find an eventual solution,” reportedly in the Kosovo Embassy's announcement in Skopje.
