KDI Bugakku: The investigation not to stop at commissioners, to continue with candidates

Volnet Bugakku from the Kosovo Democratic Institute (KDI) has declared that manipulations and counterfeiting results in the December 28th elections were calculated during the recounting of votes. “We as an organisation have estimated that this has been an appropriate decision, for how in the first week, manipulations of votes and [...] have emerged.
“We as an organisation have estimated that this has been an appropriate decision, for the fact that in the first week, manipulations of votes and the results of candidates for MPs have emerged. Therefore, we have estimated that, to increase transparency and maintain citizens' trust, the CEC should necessarily begin the total recounting of votes in all polling places,” said Bugaq in Tvjet1.
He announced that KDI has asked relevant institutions and the State Prosecutor to launch investigations in all municipalities where cases of manipulation and counterfeiting results have been identified.
“We as the institution have also asked the relevant institutions and the State Prosecutor to start investigating in all municipalities where there has been manipulation and counterfeiting of the results for MPs' candidates,” he said.
This investigation should not only include the responsibility of the CEC commissioners who have falsified the results of the vote, but must further expand, including candidates who have potentially promoted or postponed the counterfeiting of votes,” concluded Bugaqku.
