Haxhiu said the CEC has changed the methodology of recounting in the middle of the process, abandoning order according to municipalities and locations.
According to him, this arbitrary change has produced a clear deviation of the score train.
The CEC essentially made decisions contrary to the Law for Elections, now the CEC has changed the recount methodology in the middle of the process, abandoning order according to municipalities and locations and replacing it with a chaotic process, fragmented”, Haxhiu said.
This arbitrary change has produced clear variation of the score train and seriously damaged the trust of candidates and citizens. When the recounting is oversized, it continues with other municipalities and loses location tracking, the process becomes unbelievable”, he said.
Haxhiu has charged that the CEC has become an active party in deforming the election process.
“The CEC, instead of defending the integrity of the vote, is changing rules during the recount, turning from impartial arbitrator to active side to deforming the election process”, he has said.
“Seeks immediate recounting return in the order of municipalities, full transparency and institutional responsibility. Every vote violated is a blow to democracy”, Haxhiu stressed.
He has called that the prosecution should immediately start investigations into all decisions and actions that have violated the integrity of the election process, ranging from the CEC head to any individual who has had the courage to violate the law, reform the electoral process and manipulate the will of citizens.
