Low temperatures and increased use of electricity for heating have affected widespread consumption. In periods where local production remains low, the need for electricity import increases significantly. However, opportunities for import security are limited due to technical conditions of the electromagnetic system in which Kosovo operates, making it difficult to cover the demand at any moment.
K E SCO is constantly engaged in exploiting all available power insurance opportunities, including long-term contracts and acquisitions in short-term markets. However, in situations where the need for import is too high, full coverage of demand presents great difficulties.
In this context, K ESCO calls on all consumers to use electricity carefully and to take concrete measures to save it, especially during peak hours. Saving electricity is necessary both in operational and technical terms.
K The ESCO remains committed to meeting consumer obligations and in continued co-operation with relevant institutions, is working to maintain the stability of the system and provide electricity supply.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this challenging period.
