Kosovo and the Bahamas have signed agreements on mutual visa removal, enabling free movement of citizens of the two countries.

The news has been disclosed by incumbent Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspore Donika Grovalla, who has stressed that this agreement represents an important step in strengthening bilateral relations.

“Once the agreement between the Republic of Kosovo and the Commonwealth of the Bahamas was signed for the mutual removal of visas for citizens of both countries. Another good news and the first step in strengthening bilateral relations after the recent recognition of Kosovo by the Bahamas” has written Gervala.

On December 19th, the Bahamas became the state of 121 that recognised Kosovo's independence.

The Bahamas is the Caribbean island with 400 thousand inhabitants. /Periscopi/
