Even in Kosovo, tuberculosis remains a public health challenge. During 2024, 548 cases have been recorded with an epidemic of 34.3 per 100,000. We reiterate that diagnostics and treatment of tuberculosis are offered free of charge in our country's public health institutions. Besides tuberculosis, other respiratory diseases, including asthma and chronic bunkers, continue to cause disease and mortality in the country.”, says the Facebook Health Ministry's post.
World Monthhood Day, which in Kosovo is being marked by the motto “healthy music, healthy life”, aims to raise awareness of diseases affecting the lungs and their impact on the lives of millions of people in the world.
According to the global report on respiratory diseases, each year millions are affected by diseases such as chronic pulmonary obstructural disease (SPOK), asthma, pneumonia, tuberculosis, and lung cancer, which cause large - scale deaths.
