In this regard, the chairman of the Pristina municipality, Rama, has reacted.
Rama through a post on the social Facebook network has offered support to local businesses during crossing the free electricity market, reports Periscope .
“In information on recent developments related to the liberalisation of the Kosovo electricity market, the Pristina municipality stands firmly beside our local, large and small businesses, which are facing unprecedented challenges due to increased energy costs and threats to break from the network. We realize that reform in the energy market may be necessary for long term stability, but the way and pace of current implementation are putting unjust burdens on the backbone of our economy. Businesses are not just economic units, they are employers, innovators and community builders. Their survival is shared responsibility, he wrote.
Rama has called on the Central Government to implement a transitional phase towards the liberalised market, giving businesses enough time to adjust and secure fair contracts”.
<x) Be engaged in open dialogue with municipal leaders, economic efforts and business representatives to co-found a sustainable road forward. At the same time, Pristina will take immediate steps to: build a Task Force for Business Perseverance, assess energy weaknesses and propose local solutions”, Rama wrote. /Periscope
