She slipped her friend out of her hands, as did the tragic event in Albania where 23-year-old Dutch girl died

A serious event took place on the beach of Filickuri, in the Potam area of Himara, where a foreign citizen has lost his life after a fall from the height.

Some foreign tourists, adventurers like alpine and hiking sports, have chosen to head down to the beach through rugged rocky terrain, avoiding the usual sea route by floating or footing means.

According to preliminary data, the 23-year-old Dutch citizen, who was in the company of her friends, accidentally slipped while her friend held her by hand but could not and slipped them down from a height of about 30m.

Emergency services have been announced immediately. At the scene have intervened the structures of the Himara Police, border police fire forces and an ambulance, which have enabled the body to be removed from the difficult rock area.

Unfortunately, the young one has failed to survive the mad wounds, as well as 18-year-olds have suffered wounds of falling stones but out of danger for life. It has been transported to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana.

Tourists present in the area have been helped to leave safely, while authorities have launched investigations to whiteen the full circumstances of the event.

This is another case indicating the risk of adventures on inappropriate terrain and the need for increased care by all who explore nature outside safe roads. / TCh/ Periscope
