The teams of the Institute of Legal Medicine have begun excavations within the area of Dubrava Prison, in search of a missing person's mortar remains during or after the war in Kosovo.
Special Prosecutor Ilir Morina indicated that the investigations were undertaken following the identification of a witness from the Kosovo Police, who has provided key information on an event that took place shortly after the war ended.
After the witness, a person was found on the mountain several days after the war. Without anyone's help, the witness had buried him in a location that is now inside the prison perimeter. He has shown us the place and based on his testimony, excavations” are under way, Morina said, Time reported.
Currently, specialised teams are on the ground, while investigations will continue to confirm whether the country shown contains remains of the missing person./Periscopi/
