According to the court's official announcement, the verdict was taken following the request of the Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo, with the argument that there is real danger for defendants to flee from justice, influence evidence and witnesses, and repeat the criminal acts they are suspected of.
The court has estimated that the burden of criminal acts is serious and the social risk of the two defendants is high. Alternative measures against detention are considered insufficient in this case.
They have also allegedly placed the flag of this organisation on their house roof, made X-rays with Arabic content on walls, and denounced extremist religious ideology, voicing open hostility towards state and international institutions.
“There is suspicion that the village of Shaskoc of the Pristina municipality, suspects from unproved and ongoing times until the date 01.05.2025, have publicly promoted and spread hatred and non-compliance among religious groups and have propagand extreme religious ideology in the way that the same people posted in “Tick-Tok” and “Facebook”, material supporting the organisation “ISIS”, so they have set the flags of the terrorist organisation “ISIS” over the peak of their house, they made X-rays in Arabic on the walls of their home, as well as through social networks, they've been spreading videos through which they have clearly expressed the support of the ideologie of the terrorist organisation “ISIS””
In one of the published videos, defendant D.B. has displayed images of his face in front of a house where he waves the white and black flag with the symbol of “ISIS”, with which posts of the same have expressed deep hostility to the state institutions, the Kosovo Security Forces, political leaders, the United States of America and all those who do not share their extremist ideology”.
The court stresses that there is doubt based on active involvement of the defendants in these actions and on co-ordination of criminal acts “The quality of division and failure to be” and “Union or participation in the military or foreign police in paramilitary or pre-police formations outside the territory of the Republic of Kosovo”.
The disgruntled side has the right to complaint against this decision at the Court of Appeals, through the Constitutional Court in Pristina.
