“Keeping in mind that the judgments are held outside Kosovo, Kosovo Specialised Chambers and Kosovo Specialised Chambers Speakers are intended to keep the public informed in Kosovo concerning the court processes in The Hague, for updated, objective and transparent information,” said in the statement. The report notes that the press conference, where journalists had the opportunity to ask questions and receive answers from the head of the Specialised Chambers, was canceled because of veterans and others' protests, during which smoke bombs were dropped to prevent the meeting.
“Recognising the democratic right to peaceful protest, The DHSK expresses regret that in today's situation journalists were prevented from asking questions of the Court's own head,” were expressed by the DHSK.
