Osman is invited by Swiss president for state visit on 21-22 May

At the invitation of the Swiss Federal Council, led by the president of the Swiss Confederacy, Mrs. Karin Keller-Sutter, president of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani and First Lord, Princeton Sadriu, have been invited to state visit to the Helvetika Convention on May 21st-22, marking the first state visit of a head of state [...]
President Osmani will be hosted by state ceremonies and high military honours by the president of the Swiss Confederacy, Mrs. Karin Keller-Sutter, downtown Bundesplatz Square in Bern, May 21st, in the presence of numerous citizens.
Under the official agenda, President Osmani will hold meetings with the president of Switzerland and the Federal Council, as well as give talks to the Swiss Parliament. The two presidents will also hold a joint media conference.
In honor of President Osmani and the delegation from Kosovo, President Keller-Sutter will host the state banquet, thereby honouring lasting friendship and partnership between the two states.
On the second day of the visit, President Osmani and President Keller-Sutter will visit a production company in the eastern part of Switzerland, as well as a centre of Saint Gallen University, which is dedicated to developing the culture of learning and teaching, areas of particular importance for the future of young people in Kosovo and Switzerland.
In Geneva, meanwhile, President Osmani will have a meeting with the Albanian exile, which lives and operates in Switzerland.
President Osmani's state visit not only has historical character but also symbolic, as it highlights close, stable and multidimensional relations between Kosovo and
Switzerland. They are built on common history, democratic values and close state co-operation.
Our fellow countrymen living and contributing to Switzerland have become a powerful bridge between two peoples and two states.
Switzerland was one of the first countries to recognise Kosovo's independence in 2008 and has since been among the biggest supporters of our country's democratic, statehood and development processes.
