The US Civil Space Agency (NASA) said it is tracking an asteroid the size of a house passing near Earth at a speed of 68,075 miles per hour.
According to NASA data, asteroid trajectory known as “2025 HM4” brought it to a small space distance of 757,000 miles from Earth, Newsweek reported.
NASA's Center for Research of Objects Near Earth estimates that the asteroid's diameter is between 16 and 33m.
“2025 HM4” is not the only space rock approaching Earth this week.
NASA is also tracking two asteroids the size of an airplane BF” and “2025 GT1”, with a diameter of about 33 to 43 meters (33 to 43 m) that will fly near Earth today at a distance of about 3.5 to 4.2 million miles [3.2 million km].
Another space rock the size of a house, “2025 HJ5”, which is about 14.6 feet [14.6 m] in diameter, will also pass near Earth at a distance of about four million miles [4 million km].
Asteroids are small rock measures that remained behind the formation of the solar system some 4.6 billion years ago. They are placed in the main strip of asteroids, orbiting the sun between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter. /Periscope/
