Yeah, it's true that when I entered Government, Dritton stopped being a brother. Driton is a minister, he's not an adviser, he's not even a guard at the door. He's just a free citizen who after 20 years of successful business work, has decided, about 1 year ago, with a test of luck on the liberalised energy market, like any other. It applies legally, as normal people do. The portals that did this “Breaking Nese” probably need summer break... or a basic course in the economy. But for those who want to know more, read the following.
Dritton, a businessman who has been a free citizen for 20 years and has the right to engage in business development like any other citizen in this country.
I have served with dignity and devotion in this government for four years now. That doesn't mean my whole family got into government. Nor should he be prejudiced for my relationship. I encourage Driton to be as successful in business as I do with everyone else in the private sector. (Read my short biography at the end of this post to understand better why I say that. )
The driver and any other citizen has the right to apply for a license on the liberalised energy market. Then it's a market issue offering a request for those who understand little from the economy. If it is competitive, it will be contracted by private companies. Nothing more, nothing less.
To the honest citizens of this country, including those with different political beliefs: Don't believe everything you read at the portal that, unfortunately, many of them have become political propaganda tools. There are many mercenaries who are not concerned with the truth, but in the headlines.
In February, I had a post about comparing single-source contracts, including those for the media. Media spending per day on governance, from 2008 to 2024:
AAK about 2,900 euros;
PDK around 2,000 euros;
LDK about 1,400 euros; and
LVV about 200 euros.
These figures clearly indicate that for the opposition, public communication was not a means of transparency, but a propaganda tool, or insurance insurance against their poor governance. Meanwhile, the Kurti Government did not need to secure media awareness because it was guided by the values of transparency and accountability.
He turned to the matter of the day:
Energy market liberalisation is the exclusive decision of the Energy Regulatory Office ( ZRGE, an independent body from the Government that reports to the Assembly. While challenges are real, this process has been warned since 2016.
I've had my own business for many years and I've had cooperation with many producers, I understand the difficulties they go through to be competitive in the domestic and external markets.
The government Kurti has consistently supported businesses, especially producers, through subsidised loans, funds for modernisation and exports, and is planning new measures to facilitate the transition as efficient energy schemes, subsidies for modern equipment and energy audit support. At the same time, the Ministry of Economy is communicating closely with odas and producers to ensure better co-ordination with ZRE and suppliers, in the function of information and increased competition that serves public interest.
For transparency:
The MDA is a private company with 20 + years of experience, in property 100% and directed by Driton, not by me.
From 2004 to 2024, The MDA has circulated 27m euros, paid 1.5m euros in taxes, and has had over 500 employees engaged at different times, in hundreds of projects. The overwhelming majority of the circulation has come from the foreign donor oracle in Kosovo. It is a company that is not even close to political militaristism but is based on quality and professionalism.
Preparations for entering the renewable energy market have been receiving money about a year for the possibility of investing in private family land. Energy trade is viewed by it as simply opportunities to compliment this tendency to expand in this sector. The license application has been made openly, legal and regularly near the ZRRE.
