Kosovo on 13 June signs defence co-operation agreement with US

Even this year, Kosovo will be in charge of the largest American military exercise in Europe planned and organised by the United States Army for Europe and Africa .Defender Europe 2025, while on 13 June the framework agreement for defence co-operation with the US will be signed.

So said incumbent Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti said that this year Kosovo has been elected the state where the United States of America will establish command of its division since all operations to be led in the Balkan region.

At the 58th meeting of the Council General, Vetevendosje Movement Chairman Albin Kurti indicated that this is the third time Kosovo expects on its territory such military exercise, where more than a thousand Kosovo Security Forces soldiers will be engaged in inside and outside our country.

On June 13th, in Washington, our Defence Minister and US Department representatives will sign the framework agreement for defence co-operation, including 2025-2030... This intergovernmental defence field agreement includes many aspects of co-operation by exercises and training, to joint international landings, and from building military capacities towards joint investments in the defence industry”, Kurti said.

Kurti said that to take context steps towards NATO membership, he has been invested specifically in the military. He said that in his mandate it has become a double of soldiers, a triple budget, fourfold of training abroad, and a percentage of arms and ammunition purchases. /Periscope/
