The march of the Norvegeese Leg” requires soldiers to march 30 kilometers in a 11-pound backpack within a certain time, depending on the age group and the gender of candidates.
The march was held for the first time in 1915 as a test of marching resistance for soldiers in the Norwegian Army in order to move a large number of troops at a large distance and make them ready for combat even after the march ended.
“Such training improves physical willingness to carry out the tasks required by the KFOR mission and, at the same time, confirms the cohesion among KFOR nations”, KFOR report said.
