KFOR exposes Kurti: We have not noticed or announced significant changes to the presence of the Serbian Army near the border

However, the same topic when Kosovo's incumbent Prime Minister Albin Kurti spoke about this week at the Kosovo Government meeting, where he has claimed that increasing Serb forces' presence at the border with Kosovo has occurred as reaction to the exercise “Defender Europe” that is being held in Kosovo as well. Kurt at the Government meeting had said that what they are not aware is whether Russia has asked him or Serbia himself.

But in an exclusive response to KFOR's Gazeta Express have exposed claims of increased Serb military presence in close proximity to the Kosovo border, and have said KFOR is constantly monitoring activities along the borderline with Serbia, and that Sãons have not been observed or announced of recent important changes in the presence of Serbia's armed forces near the border with Kosovo. He has now said that based on existing procedures, the Serbian Army must regularly keep KFOR informed of the deployment of their forces and operational activities near the border with Kosovo.
“We expect this to continue and we rely on their continued co-operation in this direction”, this KFOR official for Gazette Express has said further.
At the end of the response, this KFOR official has told Express that KFOR commander has regular communication with military authorities in Western Balkan countries that help raise mutual awareness of the situation.
“since 2023, KFOR has significantly increased its presence and number of patrols on the Administrative Border Line. We remain well prepared to address any relevant security development and steadfast in fulfilling our UN mandate mission”, this KFOR official has concluded. /Periscope/
