Vice President Costa will visit six Western Balkan partners, formally starting from Belgrade on 13 May. He will meet with President Vuciq, Prime Minister Macut and MPs. That same day, he will travel to Sarajevo, where he will be addressed before EUFOR Althea troops and meet with members of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency. According to agenda, after meeting with Osman on Wednesday, Costa is expected to hold A joint conference with him at 16:45.
As for Kurt, it is not known whether such an action by the European Council chief comes because of measures imposed by the European Union towards Kosovo in the summer of 2023.
The outgoing prime minister has repeatedly called for their departure. One such request, he had even in March of this year, when he met with European emissar for dialogue Peter Sorensen.
The prime minister requested from the emissar Sørensen that the EU immediately remove unjust measures against Kosovo. He stressed the unhealthy contradiction for the EU, its fundamental values and for reforms undertaken by the Government of Kosovo with great support of citizens, in the same period as the country marks the largest democratic establishment, even according to international indicators, be simultaneously under EU limit measures” It was said in an announcement by the Prime Minister's Office on March 17th.
