The house arrest measure has been set aside for 10 suspects in the case of drivers' patented dilemmas, while the detention requirement has been rejected. This has been made known by defenders of one of the suspects, lawyer Driton Musliu, who defends Leutrim Abdel.
The house arrest measure taken by the Constitutional Court in Pristina will last 30 days, and complaints can be exercised within 48 hours of making a written decision. The complaint will be considered by the Court of Appeals, reports “Justice Trust”,transmit Periscope.
The Basic Prosecutor in Pristina had sought detention for 10 suspects -- among them autoschool owners and examiners -- arrested in a police operation 29 May for misuse and bribery in the process of getting a driver's license.
In the prosecution's request, they are suspected of criminal acts as an exercise of influence, counterfeiting documents, misuse of office, and bribery.
The “Justice Vow” reported on May 30th that the Constitutional Prosecutor in Pristina has requested from the Constitutional Court in Pristina the appointment of the detention measure for suspects: Drilon Ahmeti, Ekrem Ahmeti, Emesh Ahmeti, Avni Abdel, Sabri Arifaj, Sadri Sutaj, Kamer Shabanaj, Africa Tocani, Naim Mureli and Leutrim Abdejli, who were arrested in the police action on May 29th under suspicion of driving pins.
During a police operation in Pristina, Gjilan and Gjakova, police on Thursday arrested 11 suspects for patent abuses. The prosecution has requested detention for 10 of them.
The “Justice Vow” has secured the Prosecutor's File, which was set before Friday, until the Constitutional Court in Pristina is held hearings for the appointment of a security measure.
According to the prosecution, Drilon Ahmeti, Ekrem Ahmeti and Emesh Ahmeti, during 2024 and May 28th 2025, in Pristina and Viti-Gnjilan, Drilon and Ekrem Ahmeti (babe and son) owners of the car “Drilon” Shrik and “Drilon” in the year, in co-ordination with defendant Emsh Ahmeti, to equip directly or indirectly with drivers' license have demanded and accepted money at the value of 600 euros from the candidate for a driver's license -- now E.K., with the promise they are able to exercise direct influence on the driver's license co-ordinator's decision in Gjilan-Avni Abdali.
With this, the defendants are suspected to have committed criminal work “influence enforcement” by Article 424, par.1 and 2 of the Criminal Code, regarding Article 31. /Periscope
