Nasim Haradinaj, former deputy chairman of the Kosovo Liberation Army Association (OVL-UÇK), has reacted sharply to the way protests were organised in Pristina two weeks ago, which was directed against Kosovo Specialised Chambers Speaker Ekaterina Trendafilova.
In a public statement, Haradinaj described the protest as “for taking and insinuating”, criticising the fact that OVL- The KLA, according to him, did not have the courage to officially assume responsibility for its organisation.
“OVL needs to make calls, not to work illegally. Positively there is that the effect was achieved and Trendafilova did not hold the” conference, Haradinaj said, referring to the fact that the protest resulted in the annulment of a public presentation of the Specialised Chambers Speaker.
Haradinaj stressed that although he was satisfied with the outcome of the protest, he was disappointed by the lack of courage to publicly accept the call for protest.
“I was satisfied with the effect, but disappointed with the failure to accept the call, even symbolic of that protest”, stressed for Klan Kosova, Report Periscope.
His statements come at a time when reports between local institutions and specialised rooms remain tense, especially after the charges filed against several former KLA leaders in The Hague. /Periscope/
