The humanitarian organisation said it had sent 77 trucks loaded with flour to Gaza during the night and in the early hours Saturday.
“All trucks were stopped along the way, with food taken mainly by hungry people trying to feed their families”, the World Food Organisation said.
Due to a very high “chance of not having to reach their depot, a decision was made to allow people to receive aid in crowds, World Food Organisation spokeswoman Abeer Etefa said about BBC, broadcast Periscope.
Israel eased an 11-week aid blockade on May 19th, but the UN says the amount sent last week amounts slightly over 10% of people's needs. /Periscope/
