“Cleaning” breaks up waste collection in Pristina

Regional waste company “US Cleaning. A.” has announced it is obliged to cease offering waste collection service on Pristina's municipality territory.

In an official report, the KRC says this is being done due to its failure to pay debts from the Pristina Community, which amounts to 2.7m euros.

For more than five months, the municipality has failed to meet financial obligations to the company, despite our continued demands and repeated warnings. This situation has made it impossible to cover operational costs and continue the normal delivery of” services reported in the KRC's report “Cleaning”.

The company has called on the Pristina municipality to act urgently in the immediate repayment of obligations and to restore institutional co-operation to the function of ensuring basic services for citizens of the capital. /Periscope/
