Celibashi: Candidates attempt to enter polling stations, prohibited by Election Code

Albania's Central Election Commission Chairman, Ilirjan Celibashi, has said there have been attempts by candidates to join the polls.

At a media conference, he has stressed that this is prohibited by the Electoral Code and that candidates cannot enter the polls.

“The CEC has received reports from the ground that candidates for MPs have sought to enter polling stations. Let's suggest it's clearly prohibited by the Electoral Code the presence of candidates at polling stations”.

“Candidians must respect this legal prohibition with regosity. They and other political representatives should be the first to contribute to the integrity of the electoral process”, Celibashi said, according to ABCNews./Periscopi/
