27 years ago in Lapushnik, Drenas, there was a fierce battle between the forces of the Kosovo Liberation Army and the Serb invaders -- the battle known as the Battle of the Lapusnik Greca.
The battle took place three days in a row, 7 May to 9 May 1998, and was one of the most glorious KLA battles.
The war held in the Lapusnik Gorge for control of this area has been most important for the Kosovo Liberation Army, as it made Pristina Way impeccable to Serb forces, Kosovo Press reports.
Lapusnik's neck was kept blocked for months, enabling KLA fighters to move free in a large part of Kosovo's territory and that enabled it to be organised and supplied with weapons. /Periscope/
