Most economists say Trump's monumental effort to reform global trade is likely to cause rise in US inflation and could even trigger a recession, CNN writes.
But Trump, who has consistently denied that the tariffs imposed by him would have an overall negative impact on the economy, tried to pass former President Joe Biden.
