University Clinical Hospital Service has been declared about the supply of drugs needed for patients who receive chemotherapy services at the Oncology Clinic.
Through a press release, SKKKUK says among the most popular and important drugs for this treatment are Bevaczumab (also known as Avastina) and Zoledronic Acide.
In the last two years, all patients who have needed Bevacizumab treatment have received therapy regularly, in addition to a temporary shortage of several days earlier this year.
Even the treatment with Acid Zoledronik is ongoing, without any obstacle or interruption”, the SHSKUK says that over 200 patients with drugs are treated in this clinic, and sometimes 240.
The drug supply at Oncology Clinic is over 90% of coverage, including essential products for treatment.
The existing shortages are mainly linked to unregistered drugs in the Republic of Kosovo, which have no marketing authorisation, and for which supply procedures are more complicated”, the SHSKUK adds.
According to them, Bevacizumab (Avastine) and Zoledronic drugs Acid is available in the Central Barnator and oncology clinic.
Their supply is constantly monitored to ensure regular treatment for all patients in need./Periscopi/
